Cembratal – San Lugano Pass

Heading south on the cycle track along the Etsch river to Lavis. Here turn left over the slopes covered with Müller Thurgau plants in the direction of Cembratal. When you have reached the height, you continuously cycle up and down through the valley. And on the other side of the valley you’ll see the quarry which delivers a large portion of porphyritic rock throughout Europe. Before Cavalese you have to be careful so that you don’t land on the local ring road because these are closed to cyclists due to the tunnels. Then you arrive quickly to San Lugano Pass. From here you go downhill to Auer and on to Tramin.

For those with high endurance levels a slight detour from Cembra to Lago Santo lake is certainly well worth it. A wonderful trip along Lago di Stramentizzo lake.
