Discover the sporty variety of South Tyrol

Tramin convinces with the variety on offer.
The bike region at Lake Kaltern is the ideal starting point for tours by bike and mountain-bike. Thanks to the advantageous position in the south of South Tyrol both hikers and mountaineers will find plenty of interest. The Mendel mountains and nearby Dolomites invite you to mountain tours of all levels of difficulty. For water fans, Tramin offers a wonderful sport and adventure pool, and of course Lake Kaltern nearby. And for those who like to undertake sporty activities during their holidays, especially varied active adventures, there are floodlit tennis courts, bowling alley, minigolf, shooting range and lots more besides.

Bozen & environs – the “Warm South Tyrol”

Cycling in Bozen & environs is wonderful and varied. Innumerable cycling trails in the valleys, but also on Roen Mountain and in the neighbouring villages of Kurtatsch, Kaltern and Eppan make Bozen & environs a true paradise for cyclists, which is probably even more varied than the cycling offer at Lake Garda. Pleasure tours combined with freeride, single trails and variations, which might make your hair stand on end (be it in respect or amazement, depending on your technical skills).

Wonderful tours such as those at the Tramin or Kaltern high path provide a great opportunity to kick off the cycling season. In mid-summer, longer tours at Roen and Trudner Horn then become interesting. Mountain-bikers and road cyclists will find everything they long for, there are however also plenty of tours for families with children and pleasure cyclists.

The Bozen & environs
bike region

Tramin is located 276 m above sea level, only 50 metres above the vast Etschtal Valley. The flat wide areas in the valley basin between Bozen and Salurn are ideal for a comfortable cycle tour for all age groups and the whole family. In spring you’ll cycle through an endless sea of apple flowers. In summer, the cycling tours lead to the surrounding lakes, and in autumn you can admire the fruits of nature. Tramin and the Bozen & environs region provide an ideal bike area for both, an adventurous or recreational bike vacation.

Hikes and mountain tours
with summit experience

Between Lake Kaltern and the Roen summit there are two breath-taking and varied mountain tours to choose from. Both tours fascinate with impressive views. Schönleiten, Lawinen Spitz and Schwarzkopf are only some of the mountain summits of the Mendel mountain range, which can be hiked and even climbed. Well looked after hiking trails like the high-altitude trails of Tramin and Lake Kaltern and paths like the Göller, Tauris or Parzoll path lead to unmistakable summits.
