Discover with us the fascinating world of Gewürztraminer and the unique power of nature around Tramin, in the heart of South Tyrol. A shuttle bus takes you to Söll (450 m a.s.l.), a small, sunny hamlet above Tramin, known as the “cradle of Gewürztraminer”. From here, you can enjoy stunning views over Tramin, Kaltern lake, the Mitterberg and the Adige Valley.
Passing the small St. Mauritius’s church, of Romanesque origin, the route continues to the Plattenhof. Here, you’ll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views. The hike then continues towards Tramin along the Nature Experience Trail – a circular route on the Söll hill, renowned for its unique sub-Mediterranean flora and fauna.
Back in Tramin, the walk leads up to the Kastelaz hill, famous for its characteristic Gewürztraminer vineyards. The experience concludes with the delightful small church in the garden of Ansitz Rynnhof. A tasting of Gewürztraminer is included during the hike.
The Gewürztraminer Trail runs entirely across private land. Only thanks to the trust and generosity of the landowners is it accessible to the public.
To preserve this privilege, we kindly ask all participants to follow these rules of conduct:
