The Kneipp Trail through Tramin

The Kneipp Trail in Tramin leads you through the town in several stages – with various water treatments to strengthen body and mind, in the spirit of Sebastian Kneipp’s naturopathic teachings.

The starting point is the Festplatz parking lot. From there, walk about 15 meters towards the center and turn right into the park after the bridge. After the barefoot path, the path leads uphill. At the upper end of the park, keep left and follow Mühlgasse up to the first station: the water treading pool.

Then walk back about 70 meters to the “Kirchensteig” junction and climb up to St. Jakob’s Church. There, behind the fountain, you will find the eye bath. Immediately afterward, the path descends via steps to the next station, the Knieguss (knee bath).

At the end of the path, turn right into St. Julitta Gasse, then right again into Hans-Feur-Straße. After about 15 meters, a small alley leads downhill to the left, passing under a round arch, to the Armguss fountain on Alexander-von-Keller-Weg.

Return to Hans-Feur-Straße and continue to the fountain at Rathausplatz, where you will also find information about Tramin’s drinking water. At the southern end of the square, turn right onto Schneckenthaler Straße. After a short while, you will reach the last stop: the Armbad (Arm Bath).

The return journey is possible either via Hans-Feur-Straße or via the St. Jakob path.

Please note the instructions for correct use and recommended breaks at each stop.

The Fit with Kneipp event series invites you to get to know the Kneipp method under guidance. You can find a flyer about the Kneipp fountain here.
