Guided Hike in the Montiggler Forest

Enjoy the peace and beauty of nature on a relaxing guided hike through the Montiggler Forest. After a short drive from Tramin, the hike starts at the Rungg sports area and leads along pleasant forest trails through one of South Tyrol’s most popular natural recreation areas.

Following a scenic path through the woods, we reach the Montiggler Lake, cross the reed belt and continue to the Jobenbühel. This small hill is home to archaeological remains and traces of old stone walls whose origins have been interpreted in different ways.

The Montiggler Forest nature reserve, located on the Mitterberg, covers around 100 hectares of mixed woodland and includes both the large and small Montiggler lakes. A network of well-maintained hiking trails makes the area ideal for walking and enjoying nature.
