Wednesday Afternoon (Solo Hike):
Tramin – Kastelaz Trail – Kurtatsch – Rungg – Tramin with a visit to the Hoamet Museum Tramin
Starting from Tramin village square, the trail passes by the St. Jakob Church and follows the Kastelaz Trail, a comfortable forest path leading to Kurtatsch. You can briefly explore the village there. The return path takes the old road to Rungg, which is lightly trafficked and offers magnificent views of South Tyrol’s lowlands. You’ll walk through vineyards and historical farms until you reach Tramin.

A visit to the Hoamet Museum Tramin is available from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and includes three tastings of Gewürztraminer wines. (Reservation required!)
Thursday:
From Tramin to Graun and back via Zöggelerwiesen
From the Town Hall Square, ascend the steep Schneckenthalstrasse past the retirement home, then turn left. Walk past the apiary and follow Tramin’s Way of the Cross to the trail junction. Follow the comfortable forest path to the Lochweg junction, from where a steeper path leads to Graun. For the return journey, take the forest road to the Zogglerhof and Zöggelerwiesen, then follow the newly upgraded path back to Tramin.

Friday:
Circular hike from Gfrill to Trudner Horn (1,780 m)
The village of Gfrill in Salurn municipality, located at 1,330 m above sea level, serves as the starting point for the hike to Trudner Horn. From the village center, head toward Lago Bianco (White Lake). Through the forests of the Trudner Horn Nature Park, ascend to the Horn Alm (Malga Corno) and continue to the Horn Spitze (Horn Peak). For the return, follow the route past Schwarzensee, then to Gfrillner Sattel, and back to Gfrill. Highlights include views of Val di Fiemme, South Tyrol’s Unterland, and the Dolomites, as well as blooming alpine roses, mountain meadows, and countless butterfly species in South Tyrol’s southernmost nature park.

From Bolzano to Oberbozen on the Ritten
This hike begins at the Oswald Promenade in Bolzano’s Zwölfmalgreien district, ascending the Hörtenberg slopes to Maria Himmelfahrt and Oberbozen. The Oswald Promenade is a popular sun-drenched walking path featuring plants like the prickly pear cactus. The trail toward Ritten includes paved sections and some steeper paths through mixed and pine forests on the Hörtenberg. Reach Maria Himmelfahrt, known for its historic summer retreats of Bolzano’s residents, via hiking trails and partially asphalted roads. The path from Maria Himmelfahrt to Oberbozen offers stunning views. From Oberbozen, you can continue via the Freud Promenade to Klobenstein. Return to Bolzano by the Ritten Cable Car.
