Starting from Tramin village square, the trail passes by the St. Jakob Church and follows the Kastelaz Trail, a comfortable forest path leading to Kurtatsch. You can briefly explore the village there. The return path takes the old road to Rungg, which is lightly trafficked and offers magnificent views of South Tyrol’s lowlands. You’ll walk through vineyards and historical farms until you reach Tramin.

On clear days, enjoy the view northward over the Regglberg to the Texel Group and the Zillertal Alps. Continue to Krabes Alm (1,540 m). From here, hike to the Ziss Saddle, an old passage between Altrei and Truden, from where you will reach the Trudner Horn.
