What can I expect during the Spring Hiking Week in April?

Experience five varied hiking days between Mediterranean landscapes, scenic mountain trails and blooming spring meadows. The Spring Hiking Days in April combine nature, culture and breathtaking views to create unforgettable hiking experiences in South Tyrol and around Lake Garda.

The week begins with a hike on the Renon plateau along the famous Freud Promenade. Between light forests, gentle meadows and magnificent panoramic views of the Dolomites, you can enjoy the peace of nature and the special atmosphere surrounding the traditional Lobishof farm. Mediterranean flair awaits you at Lake Garda during the hike to the abandoned ghost village of Campo. The trail leads through olive groves, past cypress trees and fragrant herbs up to a silent place full of history and unique views over the lake.

A special highlight is the hike from Tramin to Graun along the Lochweg trail. Through vineyards and shady forests, the route climbs to the Sitzkofel viewpoint, offering spectacular panoramic views over the Adige Valley and the Überetsch area. Nature and culture also come together during the circular hike around S. Romedius and Coredo. Between idyllic lakes, peaceful forest paths and traditional villages, you will discover one of the most charming landscapes of the Non Valley.

The atmospheric finale is the hike to the crocus bloom at the Möltner Joch. In spring, thousands of purple blossoms transform the alpine meadows into an impressive sea of colour. Accompanied by stunning views of the Dolomites, you will experience the unique beauty of the South Tyrolean mountain spring up close.

After the shared hikes, a cosy aperitif invites everyone to enjoy a convivial ending to the day and share the week’s most beautiful impressions together.

Monday, 12 April 2027
Oberbozen – Freud Promenade – Lobishof – Oberbozen

9 am. Meeting point at the Tourist Office Tramin. This hike from Oberbozen along the famous Freud Promenade to the Lobishof and back leads through one of the most scenic landscapes on the Ritten plateau. The trail follows the well-known promenade with breathtaking panoramic views of the Dolomites, passing through light forests and gentle meadows. At the traditional Lobishof, you experience authentic rural culture and a peaceful, nature-oriented atmosphere.

Tuesday, 13 April 2027
Lake Garda and the Ghost Village of Campo

8.30 am. Meeting point at the Tourist Office Tramin. This special hike at Lake Garda leads up to the abandoned village of Campo, a quiet place rich in history. The trail winds uphill through Mediterranean vegetation with olive trees, cypresses and fragrant herbs. Once at the top, impressive views of the lake unfold, while the old stone buildings of Campo create an almost mystical atmosphere.

Wednesday, 14 April 2027
Tramin – Graun (via Lochweg)

9 am. Meeting point at the Tourist Office Tramin. This varied and scenic hike leads from Tramin through vineyards and shady forests up to the small mountain village of Graun. Along the way, beautiful views open up over the Überetsch area and the Adige Valley. Once at the top, the peaceful atmosphere of the village and the surrounding nature invite you to relax and take in the surroundings. A highlight is the viewpoint at Sitzkofel, a striking rock outcrop secured with steel anchors in the 1980s, offering spectacular panoramic views over the valley – a perfect place to pause.

Thursday, 15 April 2027
San Romedio – Due Laghi – Coredo – San Romedio

8.30 am. Meeting point at the Tourist Office Tramin. This circular hike from San Romedio via the Due Laghi to Coredo and back leads through a charming landscape in the upper Val di Non. The route connects the well-known pilgrimage site with idyllic lakes, peaceful forest sections and open meadows. In Coredo, traditional houses and the pleasant village atmosphere invite you to take a relaxing break.

Friday, 16 April 2027
Crocus Bloom at the Möltner Joch

9 am. Meeting point at the Tourist Office Tramin. In spring, the Möltner Joch transforms into a colorful sea of flowers. This scenic hike leads across gentle alpine landscapes that glow in delicate shades of violet during the crocus bloom. The trail runs through wide meadows and sparse larch forests, accompanied by stunning panoramic views of the Dolomites and the surrounding mountains.

Walking time: 3.5 hours – Distance: 10.0 km – Elevation gain: 400 m

From 5 pm, all participants are invited to an aperitif.

Certified hiking guide, transfers, farewell aperitif, participation certificate and a small surprise are included in the price.
