Partnership with Mindelheim

Music connects

Tramin and the Bavarian town of Mindelheim have been linked for many years by a special and vibrant friendship. In 1994, this relationship was officially sealed as a town twinning. However, its roots go back even further: since 1958, there has been a close and heartfelt exchange between the Tramin town band and the Stadtkapelle Mindelheim. What began as a shared passion for music has developed over the decades into a deep connection between associations, families and generations. Mutual visits, joint celebrations, concerts and personal encounters continue to shape this partnership to this day.

The Stadtkapelle Mindelheim is one of the most traditional wind orchestras in its region. With around 80 musicians, it is known as a top-level ensemble and impresses with musical quality, versatility and great passion. Its repertoire ranges from classical wind band music and concert works to modern arrangements.

The Tramin town band also stands for living tradition, musical excellence and a strong sense of community. The long-standing friendship between the two bands is a wonderful example of how music transcends borders and brings people together. When musicians from Mindelheim come to Tramin – or vice versa – the partnership becomes tangible: open, warm and full of joy.

This special connection remains an important part of the cultural life of both towns – and a symbol of how friendships can grow beyond national borders.
