Guided Hike at the Foot of the Rosengarten in the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites

King Laurin, the legendary ruler of the Rosengarten, is undoubtedly one of South Tyrol’s best-known and most fascinating mythical figures. Join us as we explore his kingdom in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites.

Starting from the Frommer Alm (1,650 m), we take the chairlift up almost 500 metres in elevation to the Kölner Hütte. From there, a beautiful and impressive hike leads us along the Hirzelweg, directly beneath the steep rock faces of the magnificent western side of the Rosengarten, to the Paolina Hut.

Nearby stands the bronze eagle of the Christomannos Monument, which was erected in memory of Theodor Christomannos, whose passion for the mountains played a pioneering role in the development of tourism in the region.

The descent takes us across beautiful alpine meadows back to our starting point.

The itinerary may be subject to change depending on weather conditions.
