What can I expect during the Spring Hiking Week in March?

Look forward to five varied hiking days filled with nature, breathtaking views and enjoyable moments. The Spring Hiking Week takes you through some of the most beautiful landscapes in South Tyrol and around Lake Garda – from Mediterranean trails to scenic panoramic paths in the mountains.

The week begins with a pleasant hike along the Maiser Waalweg trail to Saltaus. Peaceful paths through shady forests and alongside gently flowing waterways offer relaxing moments in nature and wonderful views over the Merano area. Mediterranean flair accompanies you on the second day during the hike from Garda to the Rocca and on to the hermitage of S. Giorgio. Between olive groves, quiet woodland sections and impressive viewpoints, stunning views of Lake Garda unfold again and again.

A special highlight is the circular hike around Tramin. Through vineyards and forests, the trail leads up to the Gummererhof and continues to the panoramic Göllerwiese meadow. Impressive views over the South Tyrolean lowlands and Lake Kaltern make this tour one of the highlights of the hiking week. Nature and culture come together during the hike through the Val di Cembra. Along the historic Dürer Trail, you will discover wild gorges, dense forests and the impressive earth pyramids of Segonzano – one of the most fascinating natural wonders of Trentino.

The atmospheric finale is the Wine Educational Trail from Kurtinig to Tramin. Between well-kept vineyards, traditional farms and peaceful nature trails, you will experience the South Tyrolean wine landscape at its very best. After the shared hikes, a cosy aperitif invites everyone to end the day together and share the week’s most beautiful impressions.
