Discover one of South Tyrol’s most impressive wine landscapes: The Pinot Noir Trail leads through the vineyards around Auer, Montan, and Neumarkt, home to arguably Italy’s best Pinot Noir vineyards. On this hike, you’ll not only experience fascinating views of the South Tyrolean Unterland, but also immerse yourself in the exciting history and culture of this unique wine region.

Route & Highlights:
Our hike begins with a drive to the starting point near Montan. From there, the trail leads along the old Fiemme Valley Railway line through rolling vineyards and idyllic cultural landscapes. Along the way, we’ll pass historical sights such as St. Stephen’s Church in Pinzon with its famous late Gothic altar, as well as a small Kneipp facility for refreshment.

A special highlight of the hike is a small wine tasting. Enjoy a glass of Pinot Noir where the grapes grow that make it so special.

The Pinot Noir Trail captivates with informative display panels, interactive stations, and a variety of scenic attractions. From the Trudner Horn Nature Park to the scenic slopes of Mazon, Glen, and Pinzon, this cultural and wine trail offers a wealth of interesting information about the traditional winemaking tradition in South Tyrol.
