Long Wednesday in Tramin

A celebration of local traditions and village sounds

Long Wednesday in Tramin begins with an evening full of joy, tradition and authentic village atmosphere. The historic centre of Tramin becomes a stage for music, flavours and social encounters – a summer evening for locals, guests and families alike.

Providing entertainment throughout the evening will be Volle Tschodo, DJ Kurt and the Traminer Schuhplattler, bringing a mix of traditional and modern sounds to the streets of Tramin.

One of the highlights of the evening will be the exhibition of vintage tractors. These historic vehicles tell stories of times gone by and invite visitors of all ages to admire them. Of course, the beloved Strauben pastries will also be part of the festivities.

Food lovers can look forward to a wide range of culinary delights, from traditional South Tyrolean specialities and creative street food to delicious summer treats. The A. v. Elzenbaum winery will serve Brettljause, farmer’s toast and focaccia, while Bar Löwen invites guests to relax with wine, beer and music.

As befits the wine village of Tramin, local wineries and distilleries will present selected wines and premium spirits. Participating producers include A. v. Elzenbaum Winery, Weinberghof Bellutti, Cantina Tramin and the Roner and Psenner distilleries.

Local associations and organisations also contribute to making the evening special. The Volunteer Fire Brigade of Söll will offer fascinating insights into firefighting and rescue technology, while the White Cross emergency service will present its vehicles and rescue activities.

Art and culture will be represented through exhibitions at Haus Menapace and Atelier Evi Andergassen, as well as a special contribution inside the Parish Church of Tramin.

Family and Children’s Programme

Young visitors can enjoy a varied programme full of fun and entertainment:

• Elki Mini Disco – from 7.00 pm to 8.00 pm in the primary school courtyard: music, dancing and movement for children.
• Clown Frida delights children with her entertainment programme and performances at 7.30 pm and 8.30 pm.
• Visitors can also enjoy games organised by Jugenddienst Unterland, a creative workshop at Bellutti and charming horse-drawn carriage rides through Tramin from 8.00 pm to 10.00 pm.

The shops in the village centre will remain open until 10.00 pm for a relaxed evening shopping experience. Various exhibitors will present creative products and unique ideas
