with actor Tobias Moretti in the Cantina Tramin
The event series Traminer Gespräche are an annual event series that has established itself as a platform for the exchange of ideas and perspectives in the areas of culture, society, and enjoyment. For their fifth edition on July 5, 2025, we are delighted to welcome renowned Austrian actor Tobias Moretti as our guest of honor.
About the Traminer Gespräche
Since their inception five years ago, the Tramin Conversations have become an integral part of the cultural life of Tramin. The event aims to invite distinguished figures from various fields to offer insights into their work and ideas in stimulating discussions. These dialogues are accompanied by wine tastings, which make the evening a holistic experience.
Guest of honor 2025: Tobias Moretti
Tobias Moretti, born on July 11, 1959 in Gries am Brenner, Tyrol, is a versatile actor with an impressive career in theater, film, and television. He completed his training at the renowned Otto Falckenberg School in Munich.
In addition to his television work, Moretti has performed brilliantly on major theater stages, including the Munich Kammerspiele and the Bavarian State Theater. His performances in both classical and contemporary plays testify to his acting versatility.
He also made a lasting impression on television and cinema with films such as “Schwabenkinder,” “Das finstere Tal,” and “Bad Banks.”
Moretti & South Tyrol: A special connection
Theater and film actor Tobias Moretti has been connected to South Tyrol since childhood. Born and raised in Tyrol, he and his family now manage a mountain farm near Innsbruck, whose roots date back to the 15th century.
South Tyrol plays a special role in his life not only through close personal connections, but also as the setting for his professional activities. For example, “The Dark Valley” was filmed in the Schnalstal Valley in 2014; the film “Like Brothers in the Wind” (in Ratschings and Pfitsch), part of “Luis Trenker – The Narrow Ridge of Truth” was also shot in South Tyrol, as was the 2020 thriller “In the Web of the Camorra” and, in 2022, part of its sequel, “The Hunted.”
When his professional commitments allow, he can also be found in South Tyrol for a detour on his racing bike.
His connection to the region makes him the ideal protagonist for the fifth edition of the “Traminer Gespräche“. In this series of events, held in the historic Tramin winery, prominent figures share their stories and passions. Moretti offers insights into his life, straddling theater, film, and agriculture, between modern cultural life and vibrant traditions, and explains his appreciation for South Tyrol as a cultural, natural, and living space.
Moderation and Wine Tasting
The evening will once again be moderated in German by journalist and author Lenz Koppelstätter, who will guide the discussions with his insightful style.
Another highlight awaits guests with an exquisite wine tasting, expertly presented by cellar master Willi Stürz. Visitors can sample top-quality wines from the Cantina Tramin and learn a wealth of information about the unique characteristics of winemaking in the region.
