Solo Hike: Tramin – Kastelaz Trail – Kurtatsch – Rungg – Tramin
Starting from Tramin village square, the trail passes by the St. Jakob Church and follows the Kastelaz Trail, a comfortable forest path leading to Kurtatsch. You can briefly explore the village there. The return path takes the old road to Rungg, which is lightly trafficked and offers magnificent views of South Tyrol’s lowlands. You’ll walk through vineyards and historical farms until you reach Tramin.

Thursday:
On this day, you can choose between an apple tour, a visit to the Elena Walch Winery, or a guided hike to the Traminer Höllental. In the evening, enjoy a tasting of South Tyrolean specialties – all activities are included in the package price.
10:00 AM Guided Apple Tour
With an area of 18,400 hectares, South Tyrol is Europe’s largest contiguous fruit-growing region. Around 7,000 farming families cultivate apples of the highest quality on fertile soil and with 300 sunny days a year. Learn about the history of apples and apple varieties. Walk through the fields and enjoy tastings of apples and apple juice. Meeting point: Kalterer Moos (direction Auer – across from the “Moosbar” petrol station). Duration: 1.5 hours. Minimum participants: 4 people.
10:00 AM Guided hike into the Traminer Höllental
Explore the Mediterranean landscape around Tramin with our knowledgeable local guides. The mild climate and the scenic beauty during the apple blossom season make South Tyrol’s southern region the ideal hiking area in spring.

10:30 AM Elena Walch Winery Tour
Experience the unique charm and history of Elena Walch Winery: architecturally innovative rooms with avant-garde technology and the atmosphere of a historic wine cellar with its artfully carved wooden barrels. A wine tasting follows. Duration: 1.5 hours.

St. Valentin Church – Fresco Cycle
South of the town center, below Rungg, is the St. Valentin Church, first mentioned in 1276. The spectacular frescoes inside are a rich document of the development of courtly and soft style in Bolzano’s art tradition between 1360 and 1430.
You can pick up the key for the church at the Tourist Office.
5:00 PM Gourmet delight – Tasting of South Tyrolean specialties
South Tyrol has always been passionate about local, high-quality food. This is reflected in carefully crafted products passed down through generations, such as wine, bread, cheese, speck, sausages, apples, juices, and grappa. Learn about the characteristics of South Tyrolean agriculture, its products, and the “Quality South Tyrol” certification. Taste the specialties, enhanced with tips and recipes for enjoyment. Duration: approx. 1.5 hours.

10:00 AM Village tour of Tramin
An exciting discovery tour through Tramin, including a visit to the parish church and the historic village center. Afterward, enjoy a scenic walk along the vineyards to St. Jakob, where you can admire fascinating frescoes from the Romanesque and Gothic periods in the chapel of the same name. Among them are the famous hybrid creatures of man and animal. Duration: approx. 2 hours.
2:00 PM Cycling Tour to Lake Caldaro
You will cycle with Ingrid along low-traffic roads to Lake Caldaro. On the way, stop at Marta’s farm for a tasting of local agricultural products, and on the return trip, a winegrower will greet you for a tasting of his homemade wines. HELMET REQUIRED. You must bring your own bicycle. Sportswear is recommended.
Saturday:
10:00 AM Visit to the Gewürztraminer Wineday
To conclude, a visit to the Gewürztraminer Wineday awaits. The entrance fee is included in the package price. You will experience a special wine experience with the renowned white wine and local winemakers. The exclusive tasting of over 20 Gewürztraminers, as well as various Gewürztraminer grappas from local wine and grappa producers, will guide you through stations in the vineyards between the Tramin districts of Betlehem and Rungg. Additionally, experience the culinary pairing of South Tyrolean quality products such as speck and cheese, combined with Gewürztraminer, and taste South Tyrolean apple juice.
The local chapter of the South Tyrol Farmers’ Union will treat you to regional delicacies. Meals are not included in the price.
Afterwards, you can visit the Hoamet Tramin Museum at the town square. Admission is free.

Mother’s Day Concert
The Men’s Choir of Tramin, in their colorful traditional attire, invites you to the traditional Mother’s Day concert. The concert begins at 8:00 PM at the Bürgerhaus (Community Hall) in Tramin. Participation in the event is free of charge.
