Bathing lake in the unique high landscape of South Tyrol
They still exist, these places that – spared from the crowds – radiate peace and originality. Lake Fennberg in South Tyrol’s south is one of them. Situated at over 1,000 metres between romantic meadows and forests not far from Tramin above the communities of Margreid and Kurtatsch in the South Tyrolean lowlands. In summer, the biotope with its small wooden jetty offers the opportunity to refresh oneself in its gentle waves.
While in summer you can walk, hike, climb, bike and swim at the Fennberg, in winter the romantic area offers wonderful snow landscapes and a unique ice-skating idyll when the water surface is frozen.
Lake Fennberg can be reached via a winding panoramic road from Kurtatsch.
