St. Valentine's Church & St. James's Church
On Saturday, October 10, and Sunday, October 11, 2026, a window into a bygone era will open in South Tyrol: The Romanesque Days invite you to discover 33 unique cultural sites along the “Alpine Road of Romanesque Art” – with free tours, open churches, castles, chapels, and monasteries, as well as exciting insights into medieval art and architecture.
A special focus will be on Tramin, which will be represented with two art-historical highlights:
On Saturday, experience a guided tour of the Romanesque-Gothic St. Valentine’s Church, nestled amidst vineyards, and the famous St. James‘s Church in Kastelaz, which, with its frescoes dating back to 1220, is considered one of the most important works of art in South Tyrol. The guided tour of St. James Church will be offered again on Sunday.
