The Tramin Village Museum  

Opening hours: from April to November

Tuesday and Friday from 10.00 to 12.00 a.m.

Wednesday from 10.00 to 12.00 a.m. and from 4.00 to 6.00 p.m. 

Guided tours: Wednesday and Friday at 10.00 and 11.00 a.m., meeting point at the museum entrance.

The Tramin Village Museum provided for by Cultural and Homeland Maintenance Association is located in the town centre City Hall. Meticulous selections of agricultural implements provide an overall display of the bygone farmstead work conditions and traditionals. Specific highlights on long gone wine farming and maize and corn refining processes are provided, as well as antique tools, an antique kitchen, figures pertaining to the Tramin village traditional "Egetmann" carnival processions, practices and lore. A numer of further interesting rarities round off the exhibit on the social and cultural Tramin history of old.

The South Tyrolean Wine Museum in Kaltern

Open from April to mid November.

Opening hours: Tuesday to Saturday from 9.30 to 12.00 a.m. and from 2.00 to 6.00 p.m., Sundays and National Holidays from 10.00 to 12.00 a.m.

Closed on Mondays.

The South Tyrolean Museum of Archaeology in Bozen (a.k.a. the "Ötzi" Museum)

Open the whole year round.

Opening hours: Tuesday to Saturday from 10.00 a.m. thorugh to 6.00 p.m., Thursdays from 10.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m.

Closed every Monday, and every 1st of May and 25th of December.
